New Customs Gate Will Save Time for Importers
Official titleCommuniqué on the Amendment of the Communiqué on the Determination of Customs Directorates Authorized for the Entry of Certain Products Subject to the Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry Authorized to Perform Their Official Controls
A new authorized unit has been added to the list (Annex-5) of customs directorates and provincial directorates authorized for the entry of products subject to the control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Before
The Annex-5 list had a narrower network of authorized customs.
After
Capacity has been increased by adding a new authorized customs office and directorate after the 11th row of the Annex-5 list.
Details of the Regulation
This regulation, prepared by the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, amends the main Communiqué dated 5/10/2013. The amendment basically covers adding a new line to the Annex-5 list and renumbering the subsequent line numbers accordingly.
Such regulations determine the customs points through which certain agricultural and food products can enter Türkiye and the Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry responsible for the controls at these points. With this addition, it is aimed to ease logistical processes and authorize a new entry gate for specific product groups.
The amendment in question entered into force as of 12 August 2026, the date of its publication. It is of critical importance for importers, exporters, and customs consultants to update their operational processes according to this new list in order to prevent delays that may arise from routing to the wrong customs directorate.

REGAS Commentary
This regulation aims to provide logistical convenience for companies engaged in foreign trade. Authorizing a new customs gate or provincial directorate can reduce congestion in that region and accelerate customs clearance procedures. Although it has no direct impact on citizens, it contributes to the more efficient operation of the food supply chain.
