With the Presidential Decision numbered 11606, the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) amounts to be applied to certain diesel-type properties (G.T.İ.P. 2710.19.43.00.11 and 2710.20.11.00.11) will be increased gradually from August 2026 until January 2027.
Details of the Regulation
This decision has been taken pursuant to Article 12 of the Special Consumption Tax Statute numbered 4760. Within the scope of the regulation, the tax burden for the diesel derivatives in question has been determined as 0 TL/Liter between the dates of 13-31 August 2026. However, the process, which will continue with 3 TL increases each month starting from 1 September 2026, will be fixed at the level of 13.9006 TL/Liter as of 1 January 2027. REGAS Commentary
This regulation means that costs will increase regularly every month for five months for businesses using certain industrial or commercial diesel derivatives in the fuel sector. The tax starting from zero and increasing gradually creates a buffer zone for the market to adapt to new price levels. Citizens and the logistics sector may expect indirect price increases in properties and services where products with these G.T.İ.P. codes serve as inputs.
