REGAS Commentary
This agreement demonstrates that Türkiye has become a highly critical actor in global environmental diplomacy and that it can successfully manage major international organizations. It will bring substantial tourism, accommodation and logistical activity to the Antalya region. Although it does not impose any direct burden on citizens, it will enhance Türkiye’s prestige and stimulate environmental awareness at the national level.
